Hours: 3 Year Old Preschool **8:30-11:00 (Tuesday, Friday)
4 &5 Year Old Preschool **8:15-11:15 (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
morning and Tuesday afternoon)
OR
**12:20-3:20 (Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday afternoon)
Arrival: Children should not arrive before 8:30 for the 3 year old class. The children in the 4&5 year
old classes should not arrive before 8:15 for the morning class and 12:20 for the afternoon class. You will need to enter
the building through the front (West) doors and accompany your child to the door of the preschool room.
Dismissal: Children are to be picked up promptly at dismissal time. Your child will not be permitted to leave
until you or an authorized person is here to pick him/her up, unless you have sent a written note stating otherwise. The
children will need to be picked up from the South door of the elementary building.
Tuition: Monthly: **$50 (3 year old section) **$90 (4 & 5 year old section)
Since the fee is figured on a yearly basis and divided into nine equal payments, the fee is the same for each month although
the number of classes may vary. Children may not be absent for any months and return unless tuition is paid for each
month. We are offering a year long program, not a month by month program. Payment is divided into monthly payments for your
convenience. Tuition is due the first of each month. No part of the fee will be returned because of absences. There will
be a payment reminder slip sent home with your child the first of each month. Please return your payment to your child's
classroom or to the office.
(PreK children-turning 5 before 9-15, please see your child's teacher.)
Medical Forms:
Immunization cards and physical forms are required of all children enrolled in preschool. They must be on file with
the school before a child may come to school. Forms are available from the elementary office or the school nurse.
Conferences:
Conferences will be scheduled in the fall and in the spring. 3 year olds will not have conferences in the fall. All
students will have conferences in the spring. Due to the number of students in our program, we will not have preschool on
one or both of the scheduled conference day(s). Any time you would like to discuss aspects of your child's development, I
would be glad to talk to you. Please do not hesitate to stop in or call.
School Closings:
The preschool follows the school calendar. School closings and early dismissal days on the calendar apply to us also.
If there is an UNSCHEDULED school closing or delay, or an early out, it will be announced on the radio and TV on the
stations listed in the school handbook and is applicable to us also. If a delay is an hour or less, we will have the morning
preschool class. If a delay is two hours late, we will NOT have morning preschool. If an early dismissal is announced before
the start of the afternoon class, there will be no class.
Snacks:
The children will have a small snack each day with milk. We use snack time as a learning and social experience. We group
foods such as vegetables, fruits, grains, and dairy products. Parents have been generous in volunteering to bring snacks
and are asked to bring healthy foods that fit into these food groups. Sweets and treats are fine once in a while
(and, of course, for birthdays if desired), but we would prefer healthy foods for the regular snack time. Snack calendars
will come home with your child at the beginning of each month. (Preschoolers do not eat lunch at school.)
Special Days:
Birthdays:
If your child observes his/her birthday during the school year we would love to celebrate with your child. If you would
like to send treats, we would love them, but it is not necessary to send treats. If your child celebrates a summer birthday
and would like to bring treats, he/she may choose a day to do so.
Halloween:
Children may wear costumes to preschool on the day of their party. If your child would like to bring treats to the
party, we would love them. There will not be a sign up for bringing treats. Any child that would like to bring them is
welcome to.
Christmas:
We will have a gift exchange. These gifts need to be kept under $2. Those who would like to participate may bring a gift.
No names will be drawn. Girls should bring a girl's gift and boys should bring a boy's gift. If your child would like to
bring treats to the party, we would love them. There will not be a sign up for bringing treats. Any child that would like
to bring them is welcome to.
Valentine's Day:
Your child may bring Valentines the day of our party. If you would like to bring treats to the party, we would love
them. There will not be a sign up for bringing treats. Any child that would like to bring them is welcome to.
